Today, Wednesday -- Early Day - May Day Dance

Good morning everyone -

Today is our annual Mission Valley May Day dance.  Our children, grades K and 4-6, will be performing their practiced pieces beginning at 9 am on the basketball courts, to be followed by three group dances by everyone.  Parents are welcome to watch and enjoy.  Also, please be sure your children wear jackets and warm clothes, as the weather report suggests it will be cool with a chance of showers.

Two other things to note:  Kindergartners all start their day at 8:30, and Grades 1-6 get off school at 1:10 today.

Open House Tonight, TUESDAY May 25

Come see what your children have been working on this year.  Open House begins tonight at 6pm.

Niles Parent Asks for Fremont Involvement

Gail Edwards-Bryan wants your help.  She's a neighbor and one of our everyday heroes looking to make a difference in our Fremont Schools.  Can you be her friend?  Join up with her on her Facebook page called, "FUSD Parents Against Class Size Increases."

On Sunday, Gail posted the following:

I have written my first article (Blog/diary) about this . . .

In her article, Gail writes, "I have been at every school board meeting this year.  I am new to the process but, then again, I only have a first grader.  We have a small group of parents who have become the reluctant warriors for the smaller class sizes.  Other people complain about it but do very little.  Or worse, just "tsk-tsk" and move right on.  We need to start locally – every school board, every meeting.  Get to know your school board members."
